05 — Leadership
Bay James Mining Services was founded by Youssouf Ahmadou, an exploration geologist and manager with more than ten years of experience supporting mineral exploration programs in Canada and the United States. His work spans critical, precious and base metals, from early-stage targeting to drilling, geological modelling and resource-related programs.
He currently serves as Exploration Manager at Rivaz Resources. Earlier roles with SOQUEM, Metal Earth, Troilus Gold and Doré Copper Mining—now Cygnus Metals—gave him experience across regional mapping, deposit delineation and resource-development programs.
Youssouf holds graduate training in geology and mineral exploration and an Executive MBA focused on mining. He has taught at Cégep de St-Félicien, served as a MiHR Career Ambassador, represents Québec within Geoscientists Canada and hosts the Mining Leaders podcast.
